Cats can be wonderful pets...
I have 4 cats.. or rather my husband and I have 4 cats..
Spike - a Ginger Tabby domestic short hair - we got him when he was about 6 weeks old, maybe a little younger.. he was a suckler and I got a number of hickies on my neck from where he would latch on and suckle... He grew out of that....
We got him desexed and he was an inside and outside cat... but now he spends more time outside than in ... due in part to the other 3 cats.
Angel - a Blue Spotted Tabby Smoke Devon Rex. She is very tiny even though she is the oldest of the Devon's. She had not only Ringworm but a blocked bowel when we got her and nearly died. She is my baby girl and probably a little spoilt .. she loves to pad on my neck and curl up in my arms against my chest. She brings a lot of happiness and calmness into my life .. although sometimes she can be cheeky and frustrating to.
Merlin - a Chocolate Van Devon Rex. He is nearly hairless and is the cheekiest and naughtiest of all the Devons. He gets on the kitchen benches and steals food if we leave anything there. He gets into everything and is normally the most talkative. Although he is my boy I sometimes find him very frustrating. He has the longest tail I have ever seen on a cat, but he does love to curl up on my chest and pad.. he preferes to be under my shirt.. but I am trying to get him out of that habit. He also eats anything you give him and isnt fussy. Merlin came from a different breeder to the one we got the girls from, he was so healthy and well looked after by his breeder, unfortunately because the girls both had ringworm, which we didnt know at the time, Merlin caught it from them, because of his not having any hair and having very pink/white skin the rings were really noticeable on him.
Nixie - a Chocolate and White Smoke Devon Rex - She is my husbands cat, she is the biggest of the 3 devons even though she is the youngest, she also has a more cat like personality sometimes. She does like to shoulder ride on my hubby and she plays fetch, but she is a bed hog. When we got her she had Ringworm and a sore eye.
I dont think I would ever have any other type of cat now, as Devons are nothing like normal cats.. they love being with you, so much that they end up sitting on your lap when you are on the loo ..lol.. They are more like dogs than cats..
I love them to bits...
